We started Passover2.org today September 27 2024 in memory of Diana Sheree Macgowan and David Leigh Macgowan. Both my children as creations have passed to the spirit life. I am relieved to know that both had received Christ in their lives and the gift of the Holy Spirit with evidence of their faith by speaking in tongues. This comes from Acts 2 where the believers waited in faith for the gift they expected from the Father of Christ. All and I emphasize the word all because it is an important word when we divide up the believing groups between gifts. All received the gift of the Holy Spirit and began to speak in tongues.

This gift of tongues has been largely a dividing point between groups of believers because the assumption is that if you do not receive the gift, you are either a nonbeliever, less than those that get the gift or lie. Or the Word is a lie itself.

The simple fact is that God knows all his sheep and will go after the one that wonders off that none will be lost. And they all hear His voice [at least eventually]. So even if you sin all your life, if Christ comes to you on your death bed and you receive Him, you can be saved. And we know this is true by the parable in the field. The first man that came and Christ offered a days wages expected to be paid. The man that came later and was paid was a little weird, but Christ spoke with authority when the worker was offered a full day’s pay. The hard part is that the man paid a full day’s wages for showing up at the end of the day seems injustice to us. But not to the Employer. That is the part we don’t get. We don’t strive to sin all our lives, but it is up to Christ to make the decision on who to call before death. Period.

We all have the capacity to speak in tongues. Look at language. The language you speak today is not the same language spoken thousands of years ago. Pick up a Geneva Bible written in ancient English and realize that what you have today is not the same language even though it is called the same thing. In the same fashion, if you have ever talked in a different “voice” to your children or pets, you have the capability of tongues. So put your faith in your mind’s eye and let the air from your lungs come out. If it sounds strange, it is your gift of the holy spirit and the perfect language between you and God. You may or may not understand it, but faith come by hearing the Word of God. We know by studies in physiology that there is a direct link between speaking and hearing your own voice. This is why sports trainers tell athletes to speak positive about their training into existence. You are literally hard wiring your brain.

Relax if you are embarrassed or to shy. We know that in Romans 8 that the Holy Spirit makes utterances on our behalf. So if you never have the ability to speak in tongues or maybe you are mute and cannot physiologically, the first still applies. God will not lose a sheep. Note one.

If your church does not speak in tongues, teach them. Intercede for them. Or find one that does. Most of our churches elders and pastors have a huge job to do just in getting established on the rock of Peter and foundation of land. We have been in air and/or water bubbles for centuries because we didn’t know and understand how the father of lies was using contracts and the law of kinds to keep us from our inheritance.

Finally there are different kinds of tongues. One is to edify you. It is your perfect language between you and God. No one other than God may know what you are saying until He confirms or reveals what you said. The other is for the edification of the church. One speaks the prohesies. Another reveals the meaning of the Word. This is for the church and may not be your gift. Don’t worry about it.

So find your prayer language and exercise it. As we move through this age, our faith will carry us through and the more power we have, the better.

Blessings.
